Amy is 9 shortly and is so excited about her disco that we have planned for Saturday. Though it's a bit touch and go whether we'll be able to go ahead with it, as this has been the scene at our house today.
A poorly girl with a tummy bug and a tired mummy alternating between sprinting around with a bucket, ploughing through a rather large (and still growing) laundry pile and (in the calmer moments) a little wristwarmer knitting.
I have everything crossed in the hope that she's better for the weekend, that the rest of us don't get it (thankfully Toby already had it last week) and that I have enough wool to finish these!

obviously the most important of all these things would be the 'having sufficient wool'. Right?

Oh no!
Have some bracing sea air from us to blow those bugs clear for the weekend!
Fingers and toes crossed.

Oh NO! Poor Amy - and poor you. Tummy bugs are the worst, and I'm never sure if it's more horrid for the person who's sick or the one who has to clear it up :-( Hope she's on the mend soon.

Oh Julie, I sure do hope Amy makes a speedy recovery in time for the big shin dig you have planned... I can only imagine her excitement and I am sure it will be a day to remember! Best Wishes and an early Happiest of Birthday's wish to Miss Amy!!! =-)

hey julie...
I had this bug, so did my wee one and ross.
Can i suggest something? Flat Coca Cola!
I had this nasty bug and was a drip in the end! AWFUL- my DR. told me to sip flat coke and it worked so well.
Hope Amy is better soon xxxxx

Oh dear, first few weeks back at school and the bugs are rife! Hope Amy gets better in time for her birthday - I'm sure she will be fine by then. Nice looking wristwarmers by the way!

Oh poor poor poppet! Tummy bugs are so mean when they arrive for Christmas or birthdays! On the upside, little people bounce back far quicker than their poor tired mummies! So hopefully she'll be boogying away on Saturday and you can collapse on Sunday - hide the laundry in the garage! t.x

Oh dear, I certainly hope things get calmer and poor little Amy feels better by the weekend for her fun disco party :) Happy wrist warmer knitting in the calmer moments that ensue.

Can't wait to see the finished article. I love the colour. I've had the dreaded tummy bug too - there seems to be a lot of it about now the weather is officially changing. Hope your little ones are fighting fit really soon. x

Uh oh! Really hope Amy is better in time for her disco. I'm sure she will be, but fingers crossed anyway!
Your wristwarmers look lovely - I think moss stitch is my favourite knitterly thing of all. Springy springy!

I hope she feels better soon :( Lots of people seems to be catching bugs left, right and center. I hope she has a happy birthday!

I hope Amy gets better soon (usually these bugs are quite quick) so that she can enjoy her special disco party for her wonderful nine years!
...ehm ehm... D-I-S-C-O at nine?!? I have to make sure my nine years old daughter will never know about it!!! ;-)
Warmest hugs and thank you for your lovely mail message

Oh poor all of you. Hope Amy is better in time for the party and definitely hoping neither you or Mr Little Cotton Rabbits get it.

There is nothing worse than upchucking children, is there? Poor girl - I hope she's much better soon. (One year we all had gastroenteritis and had to cancel No.1's birthday party - it's such a shame, isn't it?) Finger crossed for you. x

I really hope Amy is feeling better as her day is coming up quickly.
Do you know that Little Cotton Rabbits is what I use for my home page? It is so much nicer than a newsite with depressing stock market info staring you in the face. When I pop up my internet, I get two cute friends smiling a me :)
Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Happy Birthday to Amy for the weekend... i hope she picks up... my girls usually do in time for a party and party cake. My sympathy to you ... mum with bucket ... i empathise... it's awful to see our wee ones poorly sick.

Oh, I hope she's better soon. When my daughter was young we had a big party planned and she didn't tell us she was feeling sick until after it was over. Turns out she had strep! Eek. She didn't want to miss her own party. Luckily, none of the guests caught it from her. Hope Amy comes around and can enjoy her special day.

Aahhh poor little thing, hope she is feeling better very soon.
