... I was wrong and Toby hadn't had this particular bug before. He got sick in the early hours of friday morning!
Fortunately it seems to have been a 24hr virus so he's all better now, as is Amy and (touch wood) H and I have stayed bug-free!
Unfortunately Toby being sick so soon after Amy added rather alarmingly to my already substantial laundry pile
Fortunately friday was windy and sunny - perfect washing weather
Unfortunately Amy had got very upset that her party might have to be postponed because Toby wasn't well.
Fortunately with Toby well again Daddy was able to take him away for the night and the party was able to go ahead as planned.
and 7 little girls had a rather funky and manic time!
So, all's well that ends well and Amy has had a lovely birthday weekend. Thanks so much for all of your good wishes!
PS: Even my wrist warmers turned out well (with just enough wool).

Oh what a relief! I'm really glad that all went well - except the tummy bug, but anyway. The girls surely had fun!

Phew! I love how those pesky bugs re-invent themselves when our backs are turned and strike again!
Glad the birthday girl was able to Party!
Also glad about the wrist warmers...corrh that north wind doesn't have blow! (excuse my geography if your wind is different!)

awww I'm so glad it all went well in the end. There seem's to be so many different bug's going round at the moment. One or another of us seem to have been ill for ages in our house but I suppose it's just one of the joys of being parents.

Phew - I'm glad everything turned out ok in the end. It would have been awful to have to cancel the party, which looks like such fun!

Those 24 hour bugs do seem to be the worst sometimes dont they. Laundry is always increased but at least you had lovely drying weather. I am so happy that she got to have her party too, how nice for her to enjoy some time alone with all the girls and you of course too.

Great to hear that Amy and Toby are feeling much better - children usually bounce back from these bugs much quicker than us parents!! Glad that Amy had a lovely 9th birthday and enjoyed her disco.

For just a moment I thought I was reading a Lemony Snicket chapter and you had changed your surname to Beaudelaire! Glad to read all are well now.

Your little boy is so very cute; in that picture he looks just like my baby brother did at that age, down to the pink cheeks when sick. He (Archie, now 10) is also autistic; I recognise the studied concentration on the lego bricks! I love your blog; found it from a random search of knitting on flickr. I'm going to try your Easter Eggs once I've got my winter knitting out of the way.
Take Care
Molly
