I saw on the news last night the snow that London got!!! It looks paralyzing for you. Unfortunately, the Boston area is getting ready for more snow today also. I'm counting the days until spring. Enjoy!

I must say that today's blogs are throwing up the most fab snowmen..yours is wonderful !!;-)

When I heard on the news about London's snow, my first thought was if you had had much. Looks like much fun for a young girl and an interesting experience for your ladies.

I've been enjoying watching the chickens and have been wondering if they've been inspiring you to whip up any knitted chickens?

I love Amy's snowman! We built one yesterday too - playing in the snow is such fun :O)

It's so wonderful to see the snow, he's a splendid snowman.

Poor chickadees! They look very much confused by the cold white stuff...

Amy's snowman is lucky and I am jealous as (whilst I didn't try) I don't have one :(

xx

Poor chickens! And that snowman is ENORMOUS!

I am pretty jealous of the new chickens. What fun. Not too jealous of the cleanup though! Do the eggs taste different? Better? I have always wondered.

wHAT A WONDERFUL SNOWMAN!

WHAT A WONDERFUL SNOWMAN!

We've had snow, but not enough to close the schools - the kids are really cheesed off! x

Love the chicken photos and what a fab snowman! Glad not to be driving down those lanes to Walkern this week!

Wonderful snowman...and the chickens look as confused as our cat did as he went to each "outside" door in our house to try and find a snow-free exit!

Never saw chicken in the snow! so funny!!!

Aren't animals funny the first time they come across snow? Your lot won't mind a bit if they get a chance to get used to it, ours don't bother to turn a feather now.

Hahaha. Love those chickens trying to decide what this is. Love the cute snowman too. And Toby? What did he think of the snow?

I LOVE the picture of the chickens kind of looking at eachother and comparing notes- it is perfect! We got some snow today, too... I think that I will go post some pictures of our snow!

You are so right about the chooks - that is exactly what they do :) Mine only ventured where food and water was available, otherwise they were happy to rest where they were sheltered from the snow :) Brilliant snowman!!

I love the chicken photos! My silly girls wouldn't come out of their run at all yesterday, but finally braved it today!

Seems so bizarre to read this when here in South Australia we are coming down from a record breaking heat wave. i think my poor chickens would be glad to see snow LOL!

What a fabulous snowman! No snow men around here. We're sweltering! I loved the shots of the chooks. I know it's called a parliament of owls...but I think they could use that term to describe groups of chickens as well! Who's winning in your pecking order?

That's a great snowman!
And it's also fun to see how your hens take to the snow, although I'm sure they don't like being in it much, not having warm shoes to wear and all. ;)

Great hens pics! The snow looks such fun! Hope the snowman is still there today!

Great pics ^_^ Looks like your chickens are settling down happily. Oooh lots of snow. We got a fair amount here in Yorkshire too :) Take care and keep warm.

Poor wee cold chickens - there were some on the news a few nights ago where their owner had knitted them jumpers as they don't like the cold - and I immediately thought of you!

Looks like they are nicely settled now - even with the snow :-)

Hi Julie, I sent you a Flickrmail about one of your photographs. Let me know what you think. Thank you and enjoy the snow! Claudia

I visited your shop, just to have a look and I congratulate you, your rabbits are marvelous and I love all the details like the drawings on the little clothes and the little rabbit's heads on the shoes.Really nice!
sorry for the english. I hop you will understand what I wanted to say!

I am still laughing over those chickens. Snowman made me smile too. I've never seen snow chickens myself and yours really made me smile. Stay warm! Oooh, I wonder if you'll ever do a Little Cotton Chicken. I can only image how cute it would be.

Julie. I've just nominated you for a Lemonade Award for your great attitude/in gratitude. Please see my blog for details. Sara

Sooo jealous of your snowstorm. And that snowman is absolutely the cutest one ever.

We are thinking of getting chickens too but the cold winters here in New Hampshire, USA are a concern. Also the poop. Also the wild creatures in the woods. We notice several neighbors have chickens. We're still thinking it over. Your blog is great to read. Thanks.

Love the chooks in the snow. I hope you are all keeping warm and snug inside.

I've been struggling to comment on blogs featuring snow for the total lack of it where I am, but since there are now a few flakes falling I thought I'd get over myself! Love your chickens in the snow. Also wanted to say thanks for inspiring me to pick up some knitting needles - I just finished the wrist warmers I started in October! But they were worth the wait. Posted them on my blog for all to see how my new skill is emerging:)

ooh, we had chickens when i was a girl. you are so lucky - they are marvelous animals. i live in the city now, so alas no chickens. but - i do keep an old cement flock.

Hey Julie!!!

Our chooks and cockeral don't like the snow either!

There's a photo of Beasty our cockeral in the snow on our blog tomorrow, Ive just been writing it for a give away too.

We still have loads of snow, and Its looking like it's about to start again.

I do hope you're well, There's also a story about my Merino knitting fiasco too.
