Lovely coloured leaves... and a nice looking lounge too! Thanks for the little peek into your home.

You've got such a lovely spot for knitting, right next to your gorgeous stove. I'm envious.

That looks like a lovely cosy and tranquil room for curling up to knit.

Same to you.

S.W.A.K.

Fantastic colour of those leaves! Wow, what a very calm and peaceful looking living room you have - lovely. Go on, tell us, behind you while taking the photograph is a huge pile of toys and clutter isn't there!!!!

Your living room is gorgeous! I'm not surprised you like snuggling up to knit in there.

What a cute little place to snuggle up and play with Peter Rabbit. Love all the autumn colors and the little fireplace. Very adorable. Hope you find a moment of peace in your day to enjoy this slice of heaven. Have a great, relaxing weekend

Me too Julie so go on as much as you want. Your lounge looks so cosy, I am not surprised you look forward to the first lighting. x

Fall is also my favorite season, I love it, love it, love it! That stove looks so cozy, I'll be thinking of it when the wind leaks through our front room windows in the winter . . . another great reason to knit though, keeps the hands warm at least.

Which is your favourite seat, then? I have a corner of the sofa where I can lie with my feet up and needles tucked in to the arm rest. Love the colours of the trees and the settee (almost the same colour as mine!)

Oh, it looks so lovely Julie! I hope you will have many peaceful knitting moments before the fire this fall!

Oh your room is lovely. I like the way that the colour in your room matches those of the leaves in the tree. Very cosy. Happy knitting

I'm not surprised you like snuggling up with your knitting - your living room is beautiful. I adore this time of year too. We're hoping to get out for some fresh autumn air this weekend.

Oooooh Julie, I think that's the fire I am hoping for. Is it a Charnwood Country?

Your lounge looks very comfy and VERY NEAT.

If a genie granted me three wishes, I would happily spend them on a tidy and cleaned house with a lit stove and some knitting time.

Do you have room for a lodger? I am very well behaved and promise to bring lots of yarn with me!

Have a lovely weekend, Julie.

I am very jealous of the fire but I did recently purchase the next best thing, a dvd of real fires. It's wonderful, you choose a fire (12 to choose from), press play and it's on for as long as you wish. No need to tend but just curl up and enjoy.
It looks so comfy in your home. It's a good idea to take a photo of a room when it's spotless to remind you of how it can look, I may have to copy that idea.
Enjoy your weekend!
Best wishes,
Ali

I was just thinking how envious I was about your tidy living room when I got to the last part of your post. Sounds a bit like our house. Rarely does my living room get beyond passably tidy (unless we're having visitors).

I couldn't agree more about Autumn either. Absolutely my favourite time of year.

Whao that room looks amazing!! At first I thought it was a photo from a magazine! You have a lovely house! x

It all looks gorgeous and autumn truly is the best time of the year, cant wait for pumpkin soup and pie, yummy.

Oooooh it all looks brilliant, I love autumn too especially all the colours
What a very calm and relaxing room you have there, you will be warm and cosy with your knitting in that room
Hugs Jackie x

I love the depths of colour nature gives us in Autumn..I equally love the flush of fresh new grown of Spring. Seasons of change are the best! Your room looks lovely. I wish I could own a room that tidy. Just for one day!

a very cosy room, I had to laugh at the "tidy" bit tho as our sitting room nearly always looks like a bomb site lol

Nice room, very cosy!!! wish our living room would look like that!!! Well, sometimes it does when we have people coming over... !!!
:-)

Beautiful photos it just captures autumn cosiness perfectly! I have been enjoying the season change this week, it's been crisp and dry and my little boy and I have been for some great walks, kicking the leaves and watching all the pretty colours, i love this time of year! I love your fire, so pretty!

that looks like such a beautiful warm and cosy room xx

Lovely photos.Seeing your fire got me talking to my OH about opening up one of our fireplaces and having real fires this winter.I just love this time of the year.Been for a drive this afternoon to the coast(Llandudno in N Wales). The sun was shining and the colours on way there and back were wonderful.

There I was just thinking how nice and tidy your room looks and wondering how you can keep it so beautiful - then I read the last sentence and my faith in humanity has been restored!

Gorgeous pics Julie, your room looks so warm and inviting. I am also lucky enough to have a fireplace and look forward to decorating it at Christmas time. Ofcourse it won't be used at Christmas, too stinking hot here at this time of year ;-)

cheers,
Leoni - Australia

Autumn is definitely the best season. A tummy full of blackberries and an afternoon on the sofa, needles in hand. Your living room looks lovely - I hope you managed to keep it just a little bit tidy! x

Oh your house looks wonderful! Isn't it great how nice it can look in a photograph - I'm all in favour of capturing it on camera when it looks great so you can remind yourself of how it can be!!!! Lucy x

At the risk of repeating everyone else's comments, your house looks so inviting and calm. Thank you for sharing - it always nice to find out a litte more about the person behind the blog!

What a lovely room! Reminds me of an embroidered saying I once made for our house when my girls were small: "A home should be clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy."

And isn't it interesting how autumn gives us those "flaming" red leaves just when the air cools off? They look like a little lick of fire themselves. Mother Nature knows ... Thanks for sharing. --Eileen in North Carolina

Your room looks so cozy and inviting, great color combinations.. love the fireplace inthe background.. feels cozy ;)

Your room looks very inviting! You are right, I think Autumn is the most best time of the year.

Cheers, Karen

It looks lovely, and so relaxing.

I LOVE this room! The colors are so rich and wonderful and the fire looks so warm and cozy. Definitely a room to enjoy!

Oh, your room looks lovely. What a lovely light place to sit and knit. I don't know how you keep it so tidy. No sooner do I put things away than they mysteriously appear again. Elves!!! We have just had a little wood burner installed, I can't wait to use it. Keep inspiring with your knitting. When are you going to write a book of patterns!!! Emma
