Lottery draw

Because my mailing list has grown larger than I imagined and my knitting speed has stayed the same I have  a problem in meeting the demand for finished items. So to give people who've missed out on previous sales a chance, I thought we'd give a monthly lottery a whirl.

If you'd like to enter please leave a comment below. I'll draw one name at random and give the 'winner' a choice of what I have ready at the time or offer them a special order. This isn't a freebie giveaway so the person selected would still be required to pay for the animal (around £25 plus postage) but I'm hoping it will give a few of the people who've been missing out on my sales a chance to buy one.

I will continue to list some finished items at random on etsy and have periodic timed sales here on the blog and I'll keep the mailing list up to date with details of these.

This draw will close at 12 noon on April 30th 2010.

Thanks so much to everyone who entered. I'll continue to do a draw each month but I'll also have some for sale soon on Etsy and here on the blog. I'll send email to the mailing list in the next week or so with details.

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to stop by my shop this evening and apologies to those who were disapointed. All of the animals are now sold.

I've been thinking about offering a few special orders in the near future - maybe a kind of monthly lottery where people can leave their name and I'll draw one at random each month and make an animal of their choice. This would just be open to those who've not managed to get an animal before in one of my sales. I'll probably go ahead with this in a week or so when I've thought it through and I'll post details then.

Pelagia

Pelagia is hand knitted from 'bon bon' Rowan milk cotton yarn (70% cotton, 30% milk protein). Her clothes are all 100% cotton 4ply, her dress is in 'cream', 'rose', 'baby' and 'fresh', knickers in 'cream' and shoes in 'fresh' with 'rose' french knot 'buttons'. Please note that her clothes are not removable.

She is 8" (21 cms) tall

Pelagia is made from all new materials and is stuffed with a high grade carded polyester filling which conforms to British standards of cleanliness BS 1425 and fire safety BS 5852. It is a suitable component of articles requiring BS 5665 and the European standard EN71 and those required to carry the CE logo.

Although she is made and finished to a high standard she will not withstand rough play or repeated washing and is therefore not suitable for use as a child’s toy.

She is offered for sale as a decorative and/or collectable item.
