Thanks to everyone who took the time to leave a comment. Offering them for sale this way felt fairer than the way I used to do it with everything going live at 10pm and a first-come-first-served kind of deal. At least this way you can leave a comment at a time that suits you and still be in with the same chance as anyone else. I'll definitely do some more sales like this after the summer. I've moved the post with the monthly lottery thingy to the top so if you want to leave a comment there, you'll be in with a chance of being drawn for a bespoke animal. I'll be spending the summer entertaining the children and hopefully squeezing in a little knitting time and will be back in September with more animals.

Latest batch for sale

In the light of recent problems listing things on Etsy I've been pondering again the best way of selling my knitted animals and thought I'd give something a try.

At the moment I have 10 knitted animals ready to sell. I'll list five at random on Etsy and the other five I've listed here below. If you'd like to buy any of those below please leave a comment on the one you'd like. I'll leave comments open until 12 noon (British Summer Time) on Tuesday 20th of July and at that point I'll use a random number generator to select a recipient (will post the results here).

Hopefully this will give everyone an equal chance regardless of computer / connection speed. You're welcome to leave comments on different animals but could I please ask that you only leave one comment per animal - thanks x

Petula

Petula is hand knitted from 'bon bon' Rowan milk cotton yarn (70% cotton, 30% milk protein). Her clothes are all 100% cotton 4ply, her dress is in 'navy' and 'cream', knickers in 'cream' and shoes in 'navy' with 'bloom' french knot 'buttons'. Please note that her clothes are not removable.

She is 8" (21 cms) tall

Price: £26 plus postage

Petula is made from all new materials and is stuffed with a high grade carded polyester filling which conforms to British standards of cleanliness BS 1425 and fire safety BS 5852. It is a suitable component of articles requiring BS 5665 and the European standard EN71 and those required to carry the CE logo.

Although she is made and finished to a high standard she will not withstand rough play or repeated washing and is therefore not suitable for use as a child’s toy. She is offered for sale as a decorative and/or collectable item.
