Every now and then something makes you smile and you know you need to have it in your life. That's how I felt about this little jar who is now sitting on my kitchen shelf, fat with sugar and ready to make me smile each time I glance in his direction (and the perfect antidote to toilet training blues!)
Unfortunately for my bank balance the little shop he came from was stuffed full of irresistible things and so I snapped up a couple of new cups too! Perfect for a nice cuppa while browsing a magazine (especially one that I get a mention in - thanks to Elizabeth for the lovely write up in October's Quick and Crafty)
If, like me you have a little birthday money left over to spend or just want to put something smile-inducing on your shelf pop over and visit Velda's lovely shop - she's just got some new stock in!

That jar is so cute ^_^

Thanks for the great link Julie....I will have to save the purchases for later though...but I'm waiting to pounce on a Little Cotton Rabbit! Seriously. I have money in my paypal account earmarked for one. I just need to be in the right place at the right time to nab one!
The little jar is a jolly little guy. Congratulations on the magazine mention. Who could deserve it more?
Cheers

Hi Julie,
Thank you so much for this fantastic link! I love everything over there! I'm thinking... a lot of potential Christmas presents to be bought there. I wanted to make a lot of presents this year but I just don't think I'm going to have the time and this could be my saviour.
Thank you x

Oh how cute!
About the training blues - this may be a silly idea, please forgive me; but perhaps using of reusable diapers would have some affect? It worked on my girls, but they are not autistic, so perhaps this is a wrong way. Anyway, the modern ones are easy to use and wash... like these (the first one I found by google) http://www.diapersetc.com/categories/all-in-one-diapers/
Forgive me, if it was a silly idea. :)

How sweet! (and the cup's not half bad either...) Kitchen crockery is such a weakness... for me, it's my Salt Pig. ;-) Congrats on the props! You are well deserving!

Hi Julie
I was reading back through your blog and there is a picture of your bookcase with (what looks like) two nice big fat catalogues on it, one with Debbie Bliss written on it, and one with Rowan . Are they catalogues or just magazines/books? I tried to get contact details on the web but to no avail? Did I dream this?!

Oh my, what a gorgeous shop, and good choice on your purchases.

That is a fun jar! I like the mug as well, I need some new mugs - I daren't buy 'nice' ones as anything like that seems to get broken here *sigh*
I think that washable nappies can be helpful with toilet training as the child is more likely to feel 'wet' - however, they have to actually be uncomfortable with that for it to work (another *sigh* here as ds3 just couldn't care less and isn't showing much sign of being bothered any time soon).

He is so adorable. Might actually use sugar in my coffee if I had him to go to every morning. How cute!!

Julie,
That is exactly what your sweet little animals are for me. Everytime I come here (almost every day) I just have to smile. Hopefully someday I will have one of your little bears of my own to set on a shelf like your cute little sugar jar. Until then I so enjoy just looking at all your creations on this site. Thank-you again for your inspiration and the joy of just seeing your little wonders.
Happy knitting,
Donna
